Visa EMV Chip cards will be coming in 2016!
Your Visa credit card will now include chip technology. You will receive an enhanced level of security as well as global acceptance.
Every time you use your card at a chip enabled terminal, the embedded chip generates a unique transaction code. This prevents stolen data from being fraudulently used.
Your card will still include a magnetic strip in case a merchant is not yet chip enabled.
It’s easy to pay at a chip enabled terminal:
- Insert chip end of card into terminal.
- Keep the card in the terminal.
- Remove your card when prompted.
- Sign for your transaction.
